A1basic German verbs A1Verb list + examples

Basic German Verbs for A1 Learners

A1 learners should master a small group of high-frequency verbs first: sein, haben, gehen, kommen, machen, lernen, sprechen, essen, trinken, and wohnen.

Start with verbs used in daily life.
Practise each verb with ich, du, and er/sie/es.
Use verbs in real sentences, not isolated tables only.

Simple explanation

Short sections, short paragraphs, clear takeaways.

German verbs change with the subject. For example: ich lerne, du lernst, er lernt.

At A1, you do not need every tense. Start with present tense.

The best practice is to make short personal sentences.

German examples

Each example includes English and Bangla support.

Ich wohne in Dhaka.

EN: I live in Dhaka.

BN: আমি ঢাকায় থাকি।

Du lernst Deutsch.

EN: You learn German.

BN: তুমি জার্মান শিখো।

Sie spricht Englisch und Bangla.

EN: She speaks English and Bangla.

BN: সে ইংরেজি এবং বাংলা বলে।

Bangla explanation

The same concept, explained in simpler Bangla-focused terms.

German verb subject অনুযায়ী বদলায়। তাই শুধু lernen নয়, ich lerne / du lernst / er lernt শিখুন।

A1 level-এ present tense দিয়ে শুরু করলেই যথেষ্ট।

নিজের জীবন নিয়ে sentence বানালে verb দ্রুত মনে থাকে।
