German Verbs Explained Simply
German verbs look harder than they are. If you learn infinitive, present tense, and one past pattern, you can already build a lot of useful sentences.
Simple explanation
Short sections, short paragraphs, clear takeaways.
Every verb starts with an infinitive like lernen, machen, or gehen.
In daily conversation, present tense matters first: ich lerne, du lernst, wir lernen.
Strong and separable verbs need extra attention, but most beginners only need to recognize the pattern and review it repeatedly.
